A couple of weeks ago, I talked about having a Covid Response Team.
This blog is all about my life as a lover of Books, Shoes and Writing. I like to think of myself as a diva; if only in my own mind!

WHY CAN'T I TASTE MY FOOD
Why does my mouth feel like this?
It feels like my taste buds have become swollen at the same time. My mouth is watering like I'm about to vomit.
I have a blister on the inside of my mouth but I'm sure it's because I have been drinking so much orange juice that it's from the acid.
I make myself dinner and although I'm a pretty good cook, I burned the oil I was going to use to fry the chicken in.
Hmmm, why don't I smell that? I guess I'm spraying way to much LYSOL.
I outdid myself today. Even though I'm sick it doesn't mean he can't eat well.
I make fried chicken, asparagus and sweet potatoes.
I am not hungry but I try and eat anyway.
Hmm, that's strange.
I take another bite.
I say out loud, to no one, funny I don't smell the fried chicken smell.
Then I take a bite.
Hot and nothing.
Wait, I can't taste the chicken. WTH! I can't taste the chicken. I CAN'T TASTE THE CHICKEN OR THE SWEET POTATOES OR THE ASPARAGUS.
Sweet baby food Jesus!
I've lost my taste and my sense of smell. No wonder I didn't smell the oil burning. No wonder I didn't smell the chicken cooking.
Ahhh Lawd!
This is horrible. No wonder my coffee tasted funny this morning. Or maybe the lack of flavor. I kept adding sugar and cream. I thought maybe I forgot how to make it.
Geezus! Of all things that is happening to me; this is the absolute worse!
How can you eat when you can't taste food/
Eating is pure torture. Drinking is even worse.
I tried having a glass of wine...yep; can't taste it. I can't enjoy food.
This has to be the BEST DIET EVER!
Said NO ONE!

WHY AM I STILL FEELING LIKE THIS
Today is February 11 and I feel like crap.
I can barely sleep. I'm exhausted. My body feels heavy and I am sweating like its 100 degrees.
I don't have a fever but the damn cough and sneezing has come back.
Shouldn't I be feeling better now?
I am boiling water with ginger, lemon and orange peels. I'm standing over this pot like it's my life line. I am still trying to NOT go to the hospital but today, I have no choice.
It has to be better than this.
I dress, which takes almost an hour. Not because I am trying to be cute but because I have to keep stopping to get more energy.
WTF!
Man, they don't tell you about this.
As I dress I just hope this is not the last time I will see my house. I hope it's not the last time I will chat with my kids or my friends.
Yeah, people that don't wear masks don't understand that the people who do everything to protect themselves and still end up with; have to deal with this.
Ask me if it's a hoax! Ask me if it is fake news!
Dehydration is the cause of this. I try and eat but I really can't without having an upset stomach.
I cook but still can't eat.
What's the use of eating when you can't taste the food?
Oh I didn't tell you about that?
Well, next week I will.
Thanks for hanging in here with me and this journey.

LIFE HAS CHANGED
What began as a cold, well what I thought was a cold, is actually Covid-19.
During the coming weeks, I will blog about how I think I contracted it.
It started with a headache and sore throat and went downhill from there.
That date was January 18, 2021.
I will also blog about what life is like when you have Covid-19.
If you think it is as simple as being in isolation; you are so wrong.
This is my journey and not everyone's journey is the same with this dreaded disease.
Every week I will blog about the ups and the downs. The good, the bad and the very ugly.
Please take a look, read, share and offer suggestions on how to best deal with boredom.
Sure as an author; you would think I could use this time to write but in the coming weeks, you will see why that is not really possible.
For example; It has taken me four days to write this small blog. Why? Your memory, or at least mine, is totally trashed.

I'M BACK ON THE WAGON!!!
One year, 22 days since I broke bones in my foot, my ankle on both sides and my leg.
Talk about devastating!
But I'm still here...and I'm a little better.
I still limp. I still go to therapy. I still have another surgery coming up and I still wear an ankle brace.
But I'm a little better.
Although I was writing up a storm in the beginning; I have slacked off. Not for any reason other than, I just didn't feel like it.
Wait...what...an author not feeling like writing. Yes people it happens.
I know I got sucked into just sitting and looking into space for so long, that sitting at a computer and actually writing, felt like...well it felt like work.
WTH! I just retired and I surely didn't want to feel like I was working again.
Then I had to think about why it felt like work.
Well, I am writing a murder/mystery and I have never done that before.
I know there are pieces of the puzzle that go in a certain order but I am not a "certain order type of writer". I like to just sit down and write.
Well writing a mystery is nothing like what I'm used to and I had to use that part of my brain that I don't like to. The thinking part. The part that says, you can't write that; it's not in order. That can't happen first because this already happened" part of my brain.
See, I like writing from the seat of my pants. I HATE outlining or having to think about the next chapter or line. But that is what writing a mystery is like; (for me anyway). So I stopped writing and just gazed at the TV, FB, Instagram and my website (s).
Since I loved traveling, I've been doing that as well and also helping others realize their travel dreams.
In short, I've been doing everything else except writing. Well that all ended yesterday. I had a loyal fan come up to me on Friday and said, "I'm almost tired of waiting on you to have another book. But I'm gonna keep waiting cause I love your style." Now THAT's loyalty.
So I broke out the computer and have been typing my little fingers away. So look for my new novel soon. So hopefully my first murder mystery will be out soon..unless the publisher thinks otherwise. But anyway, I'm back on the wagon...
The writing wagon that is.

BLOGGING IS NOT HARD....
I find it pretty easy. That's because I ALWAYS have something to say.
See, I find it very easy to blog; especially if I am upset about something. However, I find it pretty easy to blog about things I observe and things that I learn while being an author.
You don't have to 'give tips" every time you blog. You can simply write about what happened during your day; while writing or not writing.
Write about what has upset you. It's the cheapest therapy I know.
Better yet, write about the struggles of your writing life because a lot of us want to know how you overcame that particular problem.
Last week, I met up with fellow book diva Dee Lawrence and we had an amazing breakfast at Eggspectations. I had the breakfast burrito and after seeing mine, so did she.
We were able to chat and catch up on all that has been happening with us in our private lives and our writing lives.
After a couple of mimosas' we just sat and people watched for a bit before calling it a morning.
We met early and before we knew it; four hours had blown by and we really didn't want to leave but life called and told us we needed to stop relaxing and get back at it.
So we said our goodbyes and inked ourselves in for another breakfast meeting to just catch up.
See, I didn't think I would tell you all that but it's part of the reason I like blogging.
I can say just about anything I want and it relieves me of some stress.
+LadySunshine95 says she doesn't know what to blog about but I tell her; just sit at the computer and you will be AMAZED at what pours out of your mind.
Many people think you have to blog once a day or once a week. But that is not the case. You can blog as often as you need to. I find that blogging once a week helps my mental status. Just don't go to long without a blog or people will forget all about you.
Do you find it hard to blog and if so; what are you doing to make it better?
Let me know or better yet; write a blog about it and send me the link; I'd be glad to read all about it.
Until next time, keep reading and I'll keep on writing.

WHEN BEING AN AUTHOR IS NOT ENOUGH
Well, I have many things that I like to do besides being an author. I like to travel and I like to cook. I like to shop for shoes. I like to read and I like to work with other authors.
Being an author IS enough for me but it is not my only job.
When people say, "oh, your just an author" you need to speak up and say..."no; I'm an author AND I like to..."
Don't let people minimize your hard work. Being an author is hard work.
How many nights did you lay awake trying to figure out who to kill in your novel? Or if you have to cut out those first few pages of your novel because they just don't fit the way the story is going.
Now, having a nine to five is hard. But at the end of your normal work day; you are off.
At the end of the author's work day...never happens. Here is an 'average' author's work day.
Get up, have coffee (because that gets the juices flowing)
Go into your home office or she shed or man cave (wherever you like to write) and sit down.
Write an outline
Or just start writing
Have more coffee
Get the kids off to school (or wife/husband off to work)
Sit back down and start writing
Delete half of what you wrote two hours ago. (it doesn't move the story along)
Begin a new outline for a new novel because you have gotten 'stuck' in your current novel
Wait, its after three already? Kids are coming home. Help with homework
After getting kids settled, you are back in your man cave/she shed writing.
Now you are in the groove and "honey, I'm home"
Wait, what? it's after six already?
Get up and hope that you don't loose that train of thought that you had for the problem in the story you JUST fixed.
Dinner, dishes and kitchen done and now back to the writing office.
Now you need more coffee because
Wait, what? it's after midnight? and you just finished chapter three.
Yes, folks that the life of a full time author. So is being "just" an author what you do?
I would say no.

REMEMBERING A DEAR FRIEND
This is something we had done numerous times since our first meeting in 2012 at the Black Authors Rock Weekend.
It wasn't until a couple of years ago, when she was the moderator for a panel I was on at Busboys and Poets that we became email pals.
I was in awe of her writing, had been since her novel, Where Did We Go Wrong? hit the Essence best seller list. She told of how she got up, stayed in her PJ's and wrote until she got tired.
Well, as I composed that email I was telling her that I was finally getting my tiny house and finally make the commitment to write every day. I knew she would find something funny to say and then, as always encourage me to 'set aside space, time and just let my creative juices flow".
I always looked for her inspiration messages on Instagram and while I hadn't gotten a response from my early morning email; I knew she would respond to it.
Then my heart got crushed around 9 pm Monday night.
I saw messages popping up in my stream about how we needed to PRAY for her husband and son. How we needed to hope that everything would be OK. I didn't want to go to her page because I didn't want to know what they were talking about.
But I had to know.
And I learned late Monday night that my writing, email, author friend had died.
To say that my heart was crushed is an understatement. My heart hurts..literally. I have been crying since learning of the news. I can't stop smiling because I know her smile is forever and I can't stop from wishing that she was still here. That she would answer that last email; that she would send that inspiration message on Instagram.
But Monica is not.
She has gained her wings and we are left with a huge whole in the literary community.
We are selfish because we want her here but there are reason why her shoulder was tapped. There is a reason why her laptop will never come back on. There is a reason why that space on her bed, that held her while writing will never be occupied.
It's because she is now writing that next novel in her other home. She is now writing as much as she wants and will never know about deadlines, edits and rejection.
She is where we all hope to be; she just got there first and now she is writing and holding our seat at the table.
Rest eternally my beautiful friend as I will miss you and will never forget our emails every Monday morning.

IT'S ALMOST TAX SEASON, ARE YOU READY
Every year I get asked the same question.
Do I have to itemize my author expenses?
The real question should be, why AREN'T you itemizing your author expenses?
Whenever you do anything as an author; you should have a small notebook that you keep in your "author bag" and in your car. (You DO have an author bag, don't you) More on that in a different blog.
So when you bought your own 'stock' of novels; you kept those receipts, right? Write them off
When you drove over 100 miles for that book signing; you took note of your mileage and gas, right?
When you paid for those conferences and workshops; you did keep those confirmations and receipts; right?
When you bought those comfortable shoes; that you ONLY wear for your book signings. Because you don't sit down while you are at an event; except to sign your novel. You did keep that receipt, right?
See, there are a lot of hidden deductions that you have.
What about that new laptop or desktop that you bought to only do your novels on. How about when you turned that extra bedroom into your writing den, you do know that part of that can be written off.
Now, I am NO TAX EXPERT but I do know that most things that require payment, should be done separate from your daily and household budgeted items. I also know that they can be written off but you need a TAX PROFESSIONAL to do that for you.
So; are you ready for tax season?
If you are not; begin by finding those receipts that you can easily put your hands on. Then after you do that, get yourself a small notebook that you can keep with you at all times.
You never know WHEN a deduction may happen.

CHRISTMAS TIME AND THE LISTS ARE OUT
Christmas is less than a month away and I have some great gift ideas.
Sure, they may be the gifts I want but if you are shopping for an author, feel free to use them as well.
1. Nice Pen- a nice pen to sign those new novels would be a great gift to give; especially if my name was on it.
2. Portable Hard Drive- I have been through the heartbreak of my computer crashing and it is nothing fun. This little beauty could be used to back up those important revisions you are making.
3. Professional Photo Shoot- Let me be clear; it doesn't have to be professional. I just need someone to dress me up, do my makeup and take some great photos of me.
4. Deep Tissue Massage- After all; sitting in a chair all day and writing is hard work. My back is always sore and would keep me motivated. Hint: Massage Envy offers great monthly plans
5. Pretty Journal- That I can travel with. Notes would be so much better if I had a dedicated place to keep them. Plus it would go nice with gift idea #1
6. Carry On Luggage- Now this may seem odd. This is the perfect size to keep my laptop (17 inches), journal, some extra books and all things related to writing. I would use this bag every time I had an appearance to go to.
7. Wine- After all, I need motivation and for me; my favorite wine, from my favorite winery would do the trick. Hint: Romano Vineyard and Winery is in Brandywine, Maryland. OK; that's more than a hint.
8. Touchscreen monitor- Yep; I have a desktop and all I want is a touch screen to go with it. That's simple, right?
9. New shoes- C'mon you knew that would be on the list, right? Size 9 with at least a 5 inch heel. Easy Peasy.
and finally
10. How about purchasing some of my novels. Give them as a set or gift them on Kindle!
So what is on YOUR Christmas list?

TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS
But for others, it comes a little harder.
Your instincts are built into your psyche to let you know when something isn't quite right.
Use those same instincts in your writing.
Writing is done by feeling your way through your story. Some use outlines to keep them on track but when you are writing, have you ever found yourself talking out loud or acting out a scene?
This is your instinct telling you that maybe it might not work out that way. Maybe someone wouldn't say a certain sentence or phrase that way or maybe a violent scene needs to acted out so as to be realistic.
In writing, don't fall so in love with your characters that you can't erase or delete them before your novel is completed. Trust your instincts in this as well.
Even that scene that you loved writing might need to go. Ask yourself the following questions if your 'instinct' is telling you that something is not right.
1. Did this event slow down the scene?
2. Can this scene be told in a flashback or memory?
3. Why do I need this scene in the novel?
If you answer yes to any of those questions, your instinct knows what needs to happen.
Writing is about following your heart but also following your instinct.
What is your instinct telling you right now about what you are currently working on?

WE ARE HALF WAY THERE
I look around and it's New Year's day 2017 and now, just like that, we are 6 months into the year.
We are now half way to 2018.
Half you accomplished at least HALF of what you said you were going to do on New Year's day?
I am not talking about resolutions. Well maybe I am but some of you set goals in place for the new year.
Was it your goal to be writing at least once a day. Was it your goal to start a new marketing plan?
Was it to blog more? Was it to read more books? Was it to try a new author every month? Was it to set up that website you were putting off?
What were your author goals for 2017?
If you haven't started them, it's not to late.
We still have half of the year to go.
Why not start now.

WHAT EXACTLY AM I?
So you want to know what am I? What do I do? Why am I doing it? and How does it all work?
First, I'm a 51 year old woman who has 5 children and 9 grandchildren. (With a set of twins on the way for a grand total of 11) Yay me!
Second, I am a future, tiny mobile home owner. Tiny House on Wheels as some of you know it or like +HGTV says, Tiny House Big Living.
Third, I am a woman with two men in my life that love me unconditionally and whom I love with all of me.
Fourth, I am not crazy, stupid, going through a phase, wasting money, waiting on someone to save me or marry me and I am not desperate.
Fifth, I am an author, speaker, talk show host and motivator of all things in the writing world.
I am living my life like it is golden. And yes, that is a Jill Scott song. Get it on ITunes and really listen to the words.
I have decided that after having cancer, having survived starting over at 45 and managing the 'new' dating world; that I deserve to live my life like I WANT TO.
Not according to the 'world's' standards but by my own standards.
I don't tell you how to run your family, business or life so I am not asking permission from anyone to run mine.
I am happy. I am content and what makes me happy is not what would make anyone else happy.
If you can't be happy for me, please don't be sad for me. I am doing just fine because...
I am living my life like it is GOLDEN.

YEAR OF REFLECTION
I will be 51 years old!
Gasp, clutch the pearls; I told you my age.
Yep and I'm proud of every year and every grey hair that I have earned.
I am an author. I am (almost) a tiny home owner. I am the mother of 5 grown children and grandmother to 9 (with another set of twins coming in July) and I am polyamorus.
Some of you don't know what that word means but it means, to have many loves. In short. I can date openly and whomever I date; will know about each other.
Unlike what some of you are doing; which is called "CHEATING".
Now, not to much on that subject except this. Being a polyamorus woman means I can date whom I want but not have sex with everyone. This isn't an orgy. It's about having a great, open relationship with someone that you have developed feelings for.
Have questions; feel free to ask in the comment section of this blog.
Now, on to why I am telling you all of this.
Someone close to me, has a 'day of reflection' on his life every year on his birthday. This year I wanted to do the same.
I have thought about where I am in my life and the choices I have made and I have to say, I'm pretty damn proud of myself.
I don't have to ask anyone for anything; except for the occasional shoulder to lean, cry or hold onto to. I have the cutest car ever! (Baby Blu Mercedes) and I am about to buy my 'dream' house. (Yep; the tiny house is my dream house)
I am an author who loves writing and speaking to others about writing and about the business of writing.
What more could a woman ask for?
Well there is one thing I want.....
I want to be a part of the NFL draft experience . (Hopefully next year)
So I welcome my 51 year on this planet and I can say; I'm good.
Are you?

WHAT'S ON MY MIND
I'm in the process of building one. Yep; that's right (where have you been)
This week, March 18 to be exact. I will sit down with Randy Jones from +Incredible Tiny Homes and design my tiny. (I will be on Facebook Live and on Instagram all weekend. Make sure you follow me. Follow me by clicking this link
What you also need to do is click here---> SUBSCRIBE HERE They are giving away a FREE 20 foot tiny house! All you have to do is follow him on YouTube. (How easy is that)
I am still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I am getting a tiny house. Never in a million years would I have thought I would be able to live in something less than 300 square feet. My dream home, that I imagined I needed was always in the range of 2,00-3,500 square feet. It included a basement, a theater room, a library and a sitting room.
Well, walking inside of a model tiny home changed my mind. Well; that and my life priorities changed as well.
Even my children don't think I can live in a tiny but I'm trying to convince them to get one for themselves. It may be a little hard since they have children under the age of 10 but maybe when they get older.
So; my journey continues and I have made fast friends with Regina. Who also built her tiny house and if now living in hers. She lives in Florida and is loving her new way of life.
What makes me and Regina so different than most tiny home builders...well we are Black women. Not to say that there aren't others but in terms of tiny home ownership; black people aren't the norm.
Why is that? I am not sure but if you google tiny home owners; most live in California,Ohio, Utah or somewhere in the mid west. Well Regina lives in Florida and I will be in Maryland.
We are taking our tiny home ownership to the next level.
Of course, I'll still be a diva. I"ll still be writing and yes, I'll still have my stilettos (yes, there will be plenty of built in storage for all of my babies).
This is just one of the reasons going tiny for me is the best option. I can save money AND still buy my shoes.
It's a win-win for me.

Let Me Just Say This… A Quick Synopsis
This more-than-meets-the-eye urban fiction story introduces us to Cheryl Goldman an African-American woman who was not the apple of her mother’s eye. Her Daddy loved her desperately but even he could not change how his wife felt about their youngest daughter. Smart, talented and productive were all adjectives that perfectly describe Cheryl. However, two other words are accommodating and unselfish. In Cheryl’s attempt to secure friendship, love and favor her gentle efficiency did her more harm than good especially in the case of her husband, Kevin. You can read my full book review here.
We’ll be tweeting, FB’ing and generally making a bit of a social media ruckus chit-chatting about Just Let Me Say This…!

THRILLERFEST 2015 HERE I COME
OK, so I'm an author but I haven't made any "list" yet except the "stylish shoes list" and hey, while I love being on that list; I'm hoping that one day I make THE list. No; not NY Times best selling list but the list of authors who are on panels.
I'm still to afraid to put myself on the panels at +International Thriller Writers Inc Thrillerfest. I know almost all of the people on all of the panels because they have been on my radio show. I have even taken selfies with them but sitting up there with them..nope; "I'm not ready" and yep; I'm admitting I'm scared.
So this year, I will be sitting in the audience being a great marketing person looking for ideas and then I will take my customary selfie shots while in the panels and then I will ask that one question that no one asked or wants to know except me. Then I will fantasize about being up there next year...yeah; next year I'll be on the panel.
Ok, I said that same thing LAST year but really, next year I'll make that leap. After all, I have cute shoes.
So if you are going to be at Thrillerfest this year; please look for the girl in the six inch heels taking selfies with anyone that will let her.

MARKETING AND SELLING; TWO DIFFERENT THINGS
Selling my novels to my friends and family is easy. Well everyone knows that, right? You tell them you wrote a book, invite them for free food and giveaways and they will buy a book. (Most of the times)
It's those times when I have to set up a table, talk my way into a bookstore or sell to total strangers that I am uncomfortable with.
By nature I'm a very shy person. Yes, I'm shy. However when it comes times to sell my novels to the masses; I become even more shy. I feel like people will judge me. And actually they do. Imagine the 'slick' comments I get with my name. Yes people; for the hundredth time; It IS MY LEGAL NAME. Although it does make a great stripper name and if I was more ambitious I'd be selling my novel at the local 'gentleman's club". But I'm not that ambitious...yet.
So on the occasions that I get to stand in front of strangers, I try to smile and not look so uncomfortable.
I am a "social butterfly" and can post to Twitter, Facebook and other social media outlets 50-60 times a day. Not a problem but that is just marketing. When it comes to selling...now that's a different story.
I'm lucky that my 'brand' has continued to carry me through these such days.
My shoes are FIERCE! and when people see me standing for four or five hours in six inch heels or see the stiletto perched onto of my book display; it always brings them to the 'yard' I mean, table.
So matter how uncomfortable I am, I can always smile when someone asks. "How do you do it all day?" "I used to wear those heels in my younger days". "Your feet don't hurt?"
I smile and answer them and then it happens, the put me in my comfort zone by asking me to tell them all about my book. Let the selling begin!
And THAT my friends is the difference between marketing and selling. Marketing happens whenever someone asks about your novel. Marketing happens when you post on social media. Marketing happens when you print up materials to hand out.
Selling happens when you step out into the world; let people see your brand, your novels and yourself. Selling happens when people ask you; What, Where, When, How and Why? Selling happens when you least expect it.
Step out of your comfort zone and step into the magnificent world of an author. I promise you the feelings of euphoria takes over and you will be on cloud nine!

BE PREPARED FOR UNEXPECTED TREASURES
We met by accident at the now closed Borders Book Store in Waldorf, Maryland. I was the debut author coming out with my very first novel and he was coming out with his seventh. Yes, at that time he was on number seven but now he is on number nine.
He whizzed in with his cart full of books, a tray of assorted cookies, bookmarks and postcards. And there I stood, with a table full of books and that was it.
He was rushing around in a flurry, setting up his table, his books, his postcards and oh yes..those damn tray of cookies. The nerve of him! I wanted to talk but instead I became intimidated by him and didn't want to seem so amateurish, which I was but I didn't want HIM to know that. He asked me how I was doing, I told him I was a new author, he asked me what my book was about and I told him and then he told me about his. I had to buy it because I couldn't let on that I was really on spying on him. I bought, Russian Roulette and promised to read it.
My goodness, I was hooked. I had just found another author that I could start a series that was foreign to me. I had never read any mystery novel before and this gave me a great first timers look inside what a great story a mystery could be. I loved it and read it four times. (guess I really DID like the book, huh?) I finally got up the nerve to email him about how I like the book and then proceeded to ask him for advice; (you knew that was coming didn't you. I mean c'mon, he was on number seven, I was on number one)which he said he would give, as long as I didn't ask to many questions.
I'm so lucky that Austin S. Camacho was in that book store on that day promoting that book. I learned so much from him, namely, never show up without something that will bring people to your table. Always smile and never sit down. Oh, and I've had some kind of treat at my table!

I AM BEING COURTED!
Well, my dad might be a litle disappointed to know that I am being courted by two women and a man. Actually, I guess you can say that want me to be a part of their group.
Now before you jump up and down and get yourself into a frenzy. I'm not talking about THAT kind of group; get your minds out of the gutter people. (not that's there's anything wrong with that)
I'm talking about being courted by a literary agency. That's right! Me, little ol me is being courted by one of the biggest agency's for literature and I am all aglow. (that's a word, right)
I was treated to a fancy dinner on Saturday then I got to go to a party where the First Lady was there and took note of my dress! Yes, my dress was a hit with the first lady. And let me just say this, she is really tall. I'm not short by any means, but even with my 6 inch heels on; she still had me by about 2 inches.
And, I got a car...I mean, not like Oprah, but they had a car and that is how we got to the party and I felt like Oprah or at the very least some rich spoiled kid. They laid out all that they 'could do for me' because they say I am "very marketable".
And do you want to know why this happened? It happened because of Thrillerfest! I owe all of this goodness to being at Thrillerfest and standing up and 'buzzing' my book!
I'm sure you are looking up Creatures,Crimes and Creativity right now because there will be agents there. There is still time to sign up!
So I guess you are wondering what my decision is: well I haven't made it yet. I know you are probably shouting, WHY NOT. The simple answer is: I have a lot of things to take into consideration and I don't want to jump into something that will impact the rest of my life. Just like buying a home, you have to KNOW that you want it. Oh trust me, I want it alright but they gave me two weeks to think it over...and that is exactly what I am going to do.
